Fueling the Growth: Energy Supply Security and Environmental Sustainability

As global relationships with many of the oil rich countries become more tenuos, the security and availability of the world's energy supply is coming into question.  While the demand continues to grow, many are starting to discuss alternative energy supplies and the importance of environmental sustainability.  What is the real situation?  Is the supply at risk?  Are alternative energies a practical solution?  How will this affect trade policy and international relations?
